This is a chart of where the top 100 highest grossing films from 2011 were available to stream.
Shit Netflix, get it together.
I recently abandoned my Roku box for Apple TV and I realized that this chart shows me exactly why: there is very little I want to watch on Netflix streaming anymore. I’ll watch an old 30 Rock episode every now and then and have been catching up on Downton Abby’s first season, but beyond that I’m not getting much.
I know it’s not Netflix’s fault per se, but it’s certainly not my fault for having no use for the half-assed content they’ve got to offer.

Innnnnterrrrrresting.

This is only interesting if the cost to stream them in the aggregate were included. Also, I wasn’t aware that iTunes did “streaming”. I thought it was a straight download.

You’re calling out the iTunes differential but not at all as bothered as I am by “DVD”?

I was going to get a Roku, but I think this right here changed my mind to Apple TV.

a lot of people like myself still get DVDs from Netflix!  And you need to take into account that Netflix doesn’t charge you each time you stream something like amazon or itunes does (if these numbers are to apply), then consider that Apple TV plays only content you buy from apple.  PS3 is still the best mediacenter in terms of streaming stuff (including files from my computer that Apple refuses to play because I didn’t buy those files from them).
